Win a Tom Henderson Smith original

St Just artist Tom Henderson Smith is running a benefit auction of his painting entitled Cornish Ladies Choir to support the Plen Project in St Just-in-Penwith. The painting, complete with its custom made frame, can be seen in the window of the Turn of the Tide Studio in the town.

As you may know, the project aims to rebuild the dilapidated hut behind St Just's historic open air theatre to become “The Knut”, a visionary, purpose built, backstage and resource centre. This sealed bid and online auction for the project is accessible at and at the Turn of the Tide Studio on Fore Street in St Just. It ends at 6pm on Monday December 10th.  A buy now alternative is also available at the studio and online.

With the impending deadline of December 10th  to raise the target amount that is needed, this is your chance to support a brilliant fund raising effort at its most crucial stage. At the same time you will certainly receive the free signed and card backed print of the painting that will be sent to every new person to advance the bidding and you might even acquire the original.

Tom wants very much to support the Plen Project through organising this sale because he participated in the Ordinalia Project at the Plen-an-Gwarry in 2000 – '02 and in 2004. “That experience was certainly one of the most inspiring of my life” he says and he appeals to your generosity to join him in this deeply worthwhile effort.
